STEP 1 · START WITH CERTAINTY
Do you know your filter size?
It is usually printed on the edge of the filter. If it is not, we will show you where to look.
Find it in three checks
- Turn the system off. Check the return grille or the filter slot beside the air handler.
- Slide out the current filter. Read the three-number nominal size printed on the frame edge.
- Confirm all three dimensions. Length × width × thickness should look like 20 × 20 × 1.
Printed size beats tape-measure size.
If no listed size matches, stop before ordering and check the equipment manual or ask a qualified HVAC professional.An actual filter is often slightly smaller than its nominal label. If the label is missing, measure the existing filter, not the opening, then match the nearest listed nominal size without forcing the fit.
